Tuesday evenings 6-8 pm– May 20 –September 14, 2014 at the Polish Triangle


The Polish Triangle Coalition in cooperation with local neighborhood organizations, in-kind donations or financial support from the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber, SSA#33, Holy Trinity High School, Near North Montessori,  Our Urban Times, Friends of the Parks and the House of Two Urns B&B is looking for arts organizations, groups or individuals, who wish to showcase their particular talent or entertainment for one of this summer’s “Tuesdays at the Triangle” evenings.  Dance, spoken word/poetry, or music/choral/dj will all be considered.

From May through September, 2014 one or more arts organizations will be scheduled to present a 1-2 hour program from 6-8 pm at the Polish Triangle located at Milwaukee, Ashland and Division every Tuesday evening.   Two to Four food truck vendors will be invited to use the food truck spaces at the triangle to provide an ever-changing line-up of delicious fare and local residents will be encouraged to bring folding/lawn chairs to sit at the triangle for these events.  These events will be held “weather permitting”.  We will try to reschedule any group, who wishes to to a different date in the event of a night being cancelled due to bad weather.

To be considered please provide us with:

1.       A brief description (1-2 paragraphs) of your proposed presentation.

2.       The estimated length of your presentation.

3.       A list of anything that would be required for you to perform at the triangle.

4.       Two to three Tuesdays that would work best for you in order of your preference.

5.       Your ability to notify your audience, members, parents, etc. of this event through your normal e-mail, twitter, facebook, website.

We will be printing posters to be distributed throughout the neighborhood to restaurants, shops, schools or arts organizations.  Fliers will also be available announcing the lineup of events and food truck vendors each week.  Social media will be used to outreach to the community and all the information will be available on the website.
